You’ll find a full roadmap on the travel plans page. Just a brief summary:

• After your booking, I will send you a questionnaire, which I would like to get back filled in as detailed as possible. This allows me to determine which places you will really like.
• Once I know what you’re looking for, I can make a price estimate. Do you agree with the price? Then we’re good to go!
• After the payment, I get to work. I will give you a first draft of the route, so you can indicate if you want something different.
• Completely happy with the route? Then I’ll deep dive into all the details and get your travel plan ready.
• After I complete your travel plan, you can easily book your trip through a personal link.

You’ll tell me. I’ll send you a questionnaire to fill in so that I really get a good idea of what you’re looking for. This avoids me sending you to a mountain village when you wanted a beach holiday. To get to know you as well as possible, I ask you to fill in a lot of details in the questionnaire. I will then send you a route, before diving into all the details for the timetable and optional extra’s. You can still request changes to the route at that point. Should I still have any doubts afterwards, I’ll ask you.

The base of these packages include 4 stops. Do you want more stops or even travel for months? Then the price goes up based on your requirements. Hence, the package prices have a starting price. You will receive an official price proposal after completing the questionnaire.

That’s fine, of course! It’s your trip and I will tailor it to your needs. So for example, if you want to do everything by bus, we’ll arrange that.

Absolutely! I have questions for this in the questionnaire, so you can fill in whether you prefer to go by boat or by train through a tunnel, if that is an option. The only thing not included in any of my trips are cruise holidays. As cruises are very polluting and there’s always a sustainable alternative to cruises. 

Sure! I understand that you can’t always get around flights, especially with limited vacation days. So I can help with flights when trains or busses aren’t an option. With the premium package this is included in the price, with the basic package and route planning it’s extra. I’ll ask whether this should be included or not, as there are many travellers who already have enough experience booking flights and prefer to do this themselves. However, if you need my help with flights, I’ll look for the most sustainable routes and ask you if you want to compensate for your flight. Either by planting trees or through the compensation system of the airline.

I work with pre-payments. When you book the travel hour, I’ll send you an invoice that needs to be paid before the call.

For the travel plans, I’ll send you a price estimate once you’ve sent back the filled in questionnaire. Do you agree on this price? Then you can pay directly. Of course, you have the choice to disagree and stop the process.

The last chance to cancel is when you have received the official quote. Once you agree to the price and pay for it, I can’t refund it.

Unfortunately, with a personalized travel plan, it’s not possible to cancel after the trip has already been put together. Of course, you can always take the trip at another time. Feel free to contact me if you need help finding new trains. I can then give you tips on how to plan this yourself for your new trip.

This is not a service I’m planning to offer, although we can discuss the options. Every packages does come with a list of contact details for the operators who you can reach out to if needed.
